Julia Bonem has over 24 years of experience working with non-profit organizations. As a senior fundraiser
within nonprofits and, then, an executive recruiter
for nonprofits, she has seen the market from both sides of the desk. She knows exactly what experience and qualities nonprofits and recruiters are looking for in candidates. She has helped hundreds who are in or who hope to enter the non-profit world increase their appeal and hire-ability for non-profit jobs.
For the last ten years, Julia was Vice President of Rich Associates, Inc., a leading boutique executive recruitment firm serving nonprofits in New York City. Julia’s mother, Donna Bonem Rich, CFRE, is a nationally recognized leader in the fundraising field and president of the firm. Together, Donna and Julia worked with nonprofit organizations to identify candidates for and successfully close nearly 200 searches.
Before joining Rich Associates, Julia held key development positions at the New York Regional Office of the University of Pennsylvania, Barnard College, MIT, and The Johns Hopkins University.
Julia is a member of Women in Development, New York (WID), on whose board of directors she served for six years. She is a regular moderator of WID’s roundtable discussions on career networking.
A graduate of Barnard College, Julia received her degree
cum laude in English and French.
